After a very successful event in April we are holding another Community and Volunteer’s Recruitment Fair on Thurs 17th October at the Laura Trott Leisure Centre 12.30pm – 2.30pm.
The event is aimed to help local residents understand what local organisations and services are available to support them with their health and wellbeing and also helping to reach out to would be additional volunteers to support these worthy causes. Volunteering offers many benefits which include:
· Vital help to people in need, worthwhile causes, and the community.
· Opportunities to find friends, connect with the community, learn new skills, and even advance your career.
· Improved physical and mental health, especially for older adults.
· Greater life satisfaction.
· A sense of purpose and valuable skills.
