 NHS 111 can be contacted 24 hours a day online or by phone for non-life threating medical emergencies https://111.nhs.uk/It is staffed by trained call advisors and NHS 111 clinicians to advise or direct you to the most appropriate care.

What NHS 111 can do:

  • Provide advice from trained call advisors and NHS 111 clinicians 
  • Book patients in to be seen at their local A&E, urgent treatment center, emergency dental services, or pharmacy 
  • Send an ambulance if the patient’s condition is serious or life-threatening 
  • Tell you how to get any medicine you need 
  • Give advice on how to manage your illness at home
