You are entitled to an NHS Health Check every 5 years.
The Practice will need you to to have a cholesterol and blood sugar level test prior to an 20 min appointment with one of our Nurses or our Health care assistant.
During this appointment we will measure your height and weight, your blood pressure and measure your waist. They will also ask some questions about your health including, whether any of your close relatives have had any medical conditions, if you smoke and how much, if you drink alcohol and how much, how much physical activity you do as well as your age, gender and ethnicity. All of the above information will enable the healthcare professional to discuss your health and put any support or plans in place to enable you to manage your health.
